About Me

Keeping the Public Informed about Health, Nutrition, and Public Policy

I grew up in Burlington, NJ, just outside of Philadelphia, PA.  Currently, I live in the Washington, DC area, and work as a Communications Director for a federal public health agency.

I have experience working with reporters on stories, setting up interviews, writing press releases, training researchers and other technical experts to communicate effectively with the media and the public (i.e., “Dr. Smith, you cannot just say ‘oncogene’ because no one knows what that means”), and managing seminars and press briefings on hot news topics.
